The Arkansas Ag in the Classroom program was created to promote awareness of the importance of agriculture to our communities, state, nation and the world to students in all grade levels. The Ag in the Classroom program features K-12 classroom materials, garden grants, educational programs and teacher workshops.

Ag Calendar Kids Art Contest

Announcing the finalists of the 1st Annual Arkansas Ag in the Classroom Ag Calendar Kids Art Contest. Thirteen students' artworks were chosen for the 2025 Ag Calendar and won $50 each. The calendars featuring the artwork will be available for sale at the Arkansas Farm Bureau Annual Convention on December 4-6 in Hot Springs. Shhhhh....the works of art are a secret until the calendar is revealed in December!

Beef in the Classroom Grant Program is back for the 21st year!

The Beef in the Classroom Grant Program have opened applications for Family and Consumer Science teachers to engage their students in beef selection, storage, preparation, cooking, nutrition and food safety. The $100 grant is for the purchase of beef for cookery lessons in the classroom. Applications are now open. FACS teachers in middle, junior, and senior high are eligible and will be verified by the AR Department of Education. Designed as a first come, first served program, 150 $100 grants will be available.
