Amanda Williams has been named Director of the Women’s Leadership Program & Farm Bureau Foundation for the Arkansas Farm Bureau Federation. Williams has been with Arkansas Farm Bureau for eight years, serving for six years Safety Coordinator and for the past two years as Education & Foundation Coordinator.
Taylor Wiseman of Fayetteville, a graduate assistant majoring in agriculture economics at the University of Arkansas, won the Young Farmers & Ranchers Discussion Meet at the Arkansas Farm Bureau 71st Officers & Leaders Conference at the Hot Springs Convention Center.
The finalists in Arkansas Farm Bureau’s annual Young Farmer and Rancher Achievement Award and Excellence in Agriculture Award have been announced. The awards honor young farmers and ranchers between the ages of 18-35 for the general excellence of their operations, their hard work and innovation.

The Arkansas Farm Bureau announced Wednesday a donation of $50,000 to the American Red Cross-Greater Arkansas Chapter, to be used for flood relief efforts to be used in counties affect by the flood throughout Arkansas.
Sixteen-year-old Faith Fritch of Hiwasse and 18-year-old Kalin Key of El Dorado bested five other finalists in their respective categories in the 2019 Arkansas Farm Bureau Dairy Foods Contest June 6 at the state fairgrounds in Little Rock. Fritch’s Salted Caramel Mini Cheesecakes recipe won in the “Party Ideas” competition, while Key’s Almost Cajun Creamy Shrimp and Grits dish earned the top spot in the “Main Dishes” category.
Two college graduates have joined Arkansas Farm Bureau for the summer as interns. The interns will assist several departments within the organization and work to advance their skills, while learning more about Arkansas Farm Bureau’s grassroots impact within the state and across the nation.
