PODCAST: Chronic Wasting Disease
Chronic Wasting Disease has been confirmed in five northwest Arkansas counties and is spreading through the state’s deer and elk population. The Game and Fish Commission is seeking the public’s help in managing and slowing its spread. While not a human health threat, the disease is fatal to deer and elk. In this conversation Brad Carner, chief of the Wildlife Management Division explains CWD, the regulations the commission has implemented to manage it and how they will affect hunters this fall.
