November is Soybean Month in Arkansas. More than 3 million acres of soybeans are grown in the state each year with a value of more than $1.2 billion. It’s called the “Miracle Bean” because so many food, oil and other products are derived from it. Joe Thrash is a soybean farmer in Faulkner County and serves on the Arkansas Soybean Promotion Board. He discusses the importance of the soybean industry to Arkansas.
